NAMESAKE: Dedicated to Sybil Ludington, a young American patriot. At just sixteen years old, she reportedly rode nearly 40 miles in the middle of the night to alert 400 militia forces of the approach of the British. Her venture was similar to those performed by Paul Revere, William Dawes, and Jack Jouette. However, she reportedly rode more than twice the distance attributed to the men.
